Sassanova’s menswear counterpart to launch in June

Lately, it seems like every day is a casual Friday. This gave an idea to Angela Tandy, owner and founder of the Sassanova boutique: to create Nova Man, the male equivalent of her trendy boutique.

“With an increasingly casual business model increasingly becoming the status quo, we felt the male consumer was prepared and deserved a smart yet casual wardrobe to take them from work mode to weekend wear. end without wasting any time,” says Tandy. The new store will join the Green Spring Station site in Sassanova and will officially open on June 1.

Styling women in the latest fashions since 2003, boutique Sassanova, which also has stores in Harbor East and Bethesda, has established itself as a go-to for all things chic and refined. It managed to survive, even thrive, during the COVID-19 pandemic, but not all stores were so lucky: many closed their doors. But when one door closes, another opens. For Sassanova, it was the perfect space and the right time to try something new. “[Green Spring] attracts customers from all over Baltimore County and Baltimore City; it’s a unicorn of retail space,” says Tandy.

So who is the Nova Man? If Sassanova is the do-everything woman, you can bet Nova Man is right next to her. “He juggles everything, work, family, travel, kids, and all the wonderful, chaotic layers of our modern life,” says Tandy. “The concept and inspiration behind Nova Man is to fill a void for casual, modern menswear that is more representative of how men want to dress today.”

The store itself exudes an air of sophistication and industrial freshness, with a touch of that panache we know and love from other Sassanova boutiques. Rich navy walls and bespoke shelves in living wood complement the leather belts and soft sport coats that regularly rotate from both established labels and up-and-coming brands such as Brax, AG, Mizzen + Main and Scott Barbier. Baltimore stylish men, your time has come!
