Overwatch 2 release trailer reveals new designs for Ashe, Ana, D.Va, and Symmetra

Today’s release date trailer for Surveillance 2 shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase previewed many heroes that will be playable when the game enters free early access on October 4. Some of these heroes appeared to don new designs that we haven’t seen in any other trailers.

Along with the new hero designs already revealed, Ashe was the first hero featured with an updated look. The sniper and his partner BOB are dressed as if heading for a reconnaissance, fully camouflaged and a mask over Ashe’s eyes. It is currently unclear if this is a skin for Ashe or her new base design.

Ana can be seen overlooking what appears to be Eichenwalde with her back to the camera. Her coat now bears a giant bird and she wears a scarf around her neck. The trailer does not show what the front of this outfit looks like.

The next teased updated design is for D.Va, whose changes affect both her and her robot. Her hair isn’t in a ponytail and she looks older than how players knew her in the original. Surveillance. His robot has been given a fresh coat of white paint on top, though it retains its signature pink everywhere else.

Symmetra’s new design was the final teaser shown at the end of the trailer. She now sports even more gold assets on much of her clothing, a new hairstyle, and an updated visor covering her eyes and forehead.

Players can expect more information on Monitor 2 to be revealed during Monitor 2 live stream on June 16, where the team clarified game details, maps, updates, and new hero Junker Queen will be revealed. Monitor 2 is set to enter free early access on October 4, though it’s unclear if this is for both console and PC.
