The couple married in Germany in 2018 at Schloss Tegernsee, the home of Sophie’s maternal grandparents, and the same location where her parents were married in 1991. The bride made headlines for her beautiful ivory dress boat neck, which surprisingly resembled the Givenchy design Clare Waight Keller made for the Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry six months earlier. For her civil ceremony, she wore a chic shift dress, which had belonged to her maternal grandmother, Duchess Elisabeth in Bayern.
